Happy Tuesday, friends!
I hope you’ve had a peaceful holiday.
Memorial Day weekend marked the unofficial opening of the summer season and with that comes time for a seasonal refresh in our décor. Every summer I try to simplify our home by removing the excess (old toys and clothes we’d like to donate) and recreate a blank state that is so refreshing for hot, humid summer days.
Although we live far from the Ocean, there’s no reason why I shouldn’t search for inspiration among my favorite homes by the sea. When it comes to the ultimate beach house décor, sophisticated yet cozy, Victoria Hagan has no rival. Her name is attached to some of the most stunning coastal homes ever published. Relaxed, natural and beautifully sculptural, Hagan’s work is famous for an ethereal look, light-filled spaces in which architecture and interior design play central roles.
With a great taste and an eye for mixing antiques with modern furnishings, Victoria Hagan strikes the perfect balance between relaxed elegance and sophistication. Her beach home interiors display a soothing palette that recalls the shades of the sand and the ocean. Sun-faded blues and tans, layered with wovens and driftwood, nautical details, navy stripes and sculptural silhouettes create the perfect seaside casual interiors. Enjoy!
