More than a sequence of beautiful rooms, a home is a testament of how we live and enjoy our world. The Welsh country house of designer Penny Morrison and her husband, art dealer Guy Morrison, is such a testament. Known for her love of color and exotic patterns, Penny Morrison has created the new traditional English manor house – comfortable, elegant yet so much fun!
Indian motifs, Turkish and Moroccan textiles blend alongside the couple’s collections – art, porcelain and books. The mix of antiques and more contemporary pieces creates an eclectic atmosphere, and a happy home. The house was built in 1790 and had suffered decades of neglect before the Morrisons moved in. Their first goal was to make the house habitable, yet along the 26 years since they’ve managed so much more. Images of the home’s whimsical rooms have been published numerous times in The World of Interiors, Elle Decor and most recently Milieu. Have a great day!
