When it comes to men, they always have the most stylish, well equipped and cozy ‘man caves’ (larger than life TVs, game stations, La-Z Boy recliners anyone!?!….) so why can’t women have their own personal room to get away and relax in? A couple of days ago, I was invited by Chairish, along with other bloggers, to create a style board of my ideal feminine ‘cave’ using one of their popular bar stools. And since I’m a long time fan of their awesome online marketplace (filled with one of a kind vintage goodies, furniture, jewelry, you name it….) I was more than happy to accept the challenge. So here it goes, the style board inspired by Chairish products along with my dream ‘diva cave’ must-haves:
- light, relaxing color palette with pops of color
- comfortable seating
- fun pillows
- smoothie bar (that can instantly turn into girls’ night cocktail bar 🙂
- stylish lighting arrangements
- makeup/jewelry station
- good reads and fresh flowers, of course!
For the walls, I chose Benjamin Moore’s Horizon OC-53 for its luminosity and air-like qualities, with the slightest hint of blue. I really loved the modern and versatile look of the bar stools paired with a classic English roll arm sofa. The clear Lucite coffee table keeps the space visually light while a handsome mid-century chandy lends a romantic touch. The pillows are from Amber Lewis Shoppe and Peter Dunham’s Holywood at Home. The vintage Balmain fashion print was a lucky find and it reminds me of similar ones my dear grandma has above her mantel.
What about you, how do you feel about a ‘woman cave’? Yay or nay? Let me know what your ideal ‘cave’ would look like!
