Go Green

I missed you guys! After an extended weekend of family fun and lots of home cooking experiments, I think I’m ready to return to blogging! And I realized it’s been a while since we’ve talked color around here so why not GO GREEN today? I love color and it’s really hard for me to pick one single favorite. Depending on my mood & time of year/day, my color preferences change, but springtime I definitely love green more than anything else so I gathered some of my absolute favorite green spaces to share with you.

The style is quite different and so are the ¨greens¨, from lime and yellow greens to olive and jade,  but there’s one thing all of these rooms have in common: a fresh, uplifting look. A symbol of renewal and rebirth, green is thought to have restorative qualities on our nervous systems, helping us relax. There’s a reason nature surrounds us with so much of it!

A cozy four chair arrangement is my favorite spot in Sarah Richardson’s lake home:

The roll arm English sofa below is, believe it or not, a Lee Industries Craigslist find that designer Lauren Liess had reupholstered in her fabric of choice.

And this last image stopped me in my tracks the moment I first saw it. The glass walls that surround the master bath at Patina Farm, Ojai-California, invite the outdoors in.  No need for paint or fabrics, nature provides the most beautiful greens…
