Happy Friday!!! I hope your week has been a productive one. With all the holiday prep going on, I thought about a home that we’ve all admired for a few years now… a home for all seasons, as Vogue puts it. I’m talking of course about Tory Burch and her Manhattan apartment in the Pierre hotel. Overlooking Central Park, this home is a dream for many and looks particularly stunning decorated for Christmas.
The self-made billionaire is known for her love of color and the unique look of her homes and stores – the result of a fruitful collaboration with the great Daniel Romualdez. Architectural Digest recently featured Burch’s Southampton estate, close to completion after almost a decade of meticulous renovations. You can take the tour here.
As for her New York City apartment, it’s all that and more. Filled with family photographs, collectibles like a gold leaf Yves Klein coffee table and works of Old Masters, this home is also a place where Burch raised her three boys as a single mother. Despite how perfect it all looks, the décor was never too precious or off limits to her children. I love that.
Clearly, the rooms were designed with comfort and family time in mind.
Although I’m not a huge fan of orange, I like how it’s used in this library. Every detail is an authentic extension of her brand, and just like with her clothes and homewares, I love everything.
Many of the photographs were found through Vogue. To read more about this amazing lady, here, here and here are some articles I’ve enjoyed. Also, make sure to follow her blog , Tory Daily, for the latest news in fashion, home and design.
Have a lovely weekend, with lots of snow!
