A Lovely Locust Valley Home

Have you seen the summer issue of Veranda? If not, make sure to pick up your copy, it is a beautiful array of projects by design masters like Frank de Biasi and Cathy Kincaid! One of the homes in the issue is this blue and white dream house in Locust Valley – a sprawling property designed by de Biasi a few years ago. It is a c. 1917 Colonial-style home with the prettiest blue shutters and carefully manicured gardens.

There’s so much to love about this eclectic mix of details in the corner view of the living room.

This iron table and chairs set is unforgettable, I knew I had seen it before!  And I was right. It was first published in Vogue, back in 2014 so I tracked down those shots to compare and see the evolution of the interiors. The styling and photography are  different but aside from that, not much has changed. It pays to ignore trends and create timeless design, don’t you agree?
