When it comes to mixing colors, textures and exotic patterns, there’s no one doing it better than L.A based designer Amber Lewis! This girl knows her fabrics, combining vintage world wide flung textiles and patterns like Turkish kilims, Indian block prints, Uzbek suzanis, ikats, aztec prints and tie-dye Japanese shibori with incredible ease and skill. If you love the eclectic bohemian style, you will love her interiors: bright and relaxed with the most surprising mix of color and pattern.

¨Keep your basics a calm and neutral palette. That way you can add the interesting textiles on top without it feeling overwhelming or bursting with too much of a good thing.¨ – Amber Lewis
If you’d like to get a similar look, you can follow Amber’s recipe:
Start with a neutral canvas of white walls, warm wood or metal furniture, clean lines (mostly mid-century modern pieces) and add the color in the accessories: vintage persian or kilim rugs, pillow combos and blankets that bring in the color punch, and of course greenery. No room is ever done without it 🙂
