A Montauk Beach House Designed by Roman and Williams

Time flies when you’re having fun! It may sound trite but it captures perfectly my feelings about this last year! I can’t believe it but Café Design turned 1!!! Wooohooo!!!

Although it started with a heartbreak, 2016 has been a great year for our family. Moving away from San Francisco was not my favorite thing to do, but my husband’s job required it so we did. We’ve only lived in the Bay Area for a couple of years but it felt like HOME…(in the meantime, we fell in love with our little Illinois campus town and the kind gentility of the Midwest but at that point we felt sad to leave Cali). Anyway, right after our move to U of I, I started this blog on a whim and it soon offered me a distraction, as well as a growing curve. I’ve had so much fun writing about my passion that I literally blogged myself back to happiness!!!

I want to thank all of you for following along, for your kind  comments and support. It has been the most rewarding aspect of blogging!! Connecting with like-minded people here and on Instagram is truly the reason why I started blogging in the first place. I’ll continue doing so for as long as the joy is here… Thank you!!!

And since I can’t help showing you beautiful homes, here is a relaxed Montauk beach house that belongs to husband-and-wife duo Stephen Alesch & Robin Standefer, the talent behind the award-winning design firm Roman and Williams. I love how bohemian and lived-in it feels!
