I stumbled across a sunny breakfast nook that I can’t wait to share with you. I do not know the credits for this photograph, nor the designer but I do know that I absolutely love the energy of this space! Sand, sea and sky rolled into one perfectly cozy beach house breakfast nook. The vibes are relaxed and casual, with several traditional touches – swivel arm sconces, a chic roman shade & valance combo, rush seat ladder back chairs and a faux bamboo table. The loose linen upholstery on the cushions coordinates with the window treatments and I love that contrasting blue on the moldings.
”This plush seating area sees frequent use for eating or for a cozy reading nook or office. The natural golden shade of the cushions forgives sandy feet, and the glossy paint on the wood floors is ideal for a beach cottage because it’s a low-cost, high-charm treatment.” via Coastal Living
If you’re taken with this room as much as I am, here are a few items that could be used to produce a similar look.
- Faux bamboo table
- Benjamin Moore van Courtland blue HC-145
- Seagrass open weave glass hurricanes
- Swivel arm sconce
- Myrtle topiaries (I also like this Ethan Allen thyme topiary that looks credible enough!).
- Plaid throw blanket
- Rust seat chairs
- Driftwood round mirror
- Robert Allen linen – Kilrush Sand
