Happy Friday, y’all!
I hope you’ve had a great week and have some fun things planned for the weekend! I’m happy to report that summer is taking over our little town in the prairie and I couldn’t be more pleased! We have swimming lessons for our little one this weekend so we’ll be beach-ready pretty soon.
Not only did the hot days make me a slow blogger but also got me daydreaming more than usual! And since we still have a few weeks before our official holidays, I’m content with writing about all things coastal decor.

On that note, today’s post is about the Sag Harbor home of Stella & Dot’s co-founder Blythe Harris and her bicoastal family. Blythe Harris owns the most beautiful home in Mill Valley California, decorated to perfection by Rita Konig, (and of which I wrote about dozens of times) but the family spends summers on the East Coast in yet another dream house. A historic sea captain’s residence, the home was decorated by Elizabeth Cooper and it’s the definition of easy living by the sea. Shiplap walls throughout the house, a light blue and white color scheme, stripes and lots of nautical accents make it the perfect summer retreat. Although well-thought out and filled with antiques purchased locally, there’s nothing fussy about the decor. Without overwhelming, the interiors invite to calm days spent reading and enjoying the outdoors. I love it!
