One of the first times I got the impulse to tear out a magazine page, and keep it as inspiration for years to come, was when I saw a perfectly decorated room by designer Lynn Morgan. Bright and serene, most of her interiors combine the classic Southern elegance with fun dashes of color and modern elements.
Originally from Savannah, Georgia, Lynn Morgan started her career as the decorating editor of House & Garden before moving on to opening her own design business. Established over 20 years ago, her award winning firm has been published in all the shelter magazines and it is considered one of America’s best.
The Lynn Morgan design philosophy is to create interiors that have ¨a clean, crisp, fresh look with a touch of whimsy-all while maintaining a traditional feel.¨ Fresh bouquets of hydrangeas, peonies and tulips, and potted ferns are all favorite decorative touches.
The most beautiful blues and greens create that fresh coastal vibe most of her clients are seeking.

The blue and orange contrast is spot on in this open floor plan. Walls and floors are kept neutral, color comes in with fabric and carpet:
I love how happy (and clean) this girls room feels, pink & orange & lots of white:
I hope you feel inspired by and enjoy Lynn’s colorful work! I know I do 🙂 Happy Monday, friends!
