Not surprisingly, the way a house looks like on the outside is as important as its interiors. The exterior alone can often sell a home, which is why on many occasions interior designers get consulted on exterior paint colors. Most of the time, when the architecture of the home is remarkable, it can be as simple as specifying white paint, black doors and matching black shutters-my favorite. I find there’s nothing more sophisticated than a white house with white picket fences and neat landscaping. Over time I’ve collected pins of my dream white homes and although they come in many different sizes and architectural styles, they share that clean exterior look and perfect, minimal landscaping.
I’m pretty sure this first one features in many’s dreams. There’s nothing I’d change about this cute little Cape Cod, just pack my bags and move right in (I’m curious and would love to see more of its interiors, though).
Hello hydrangeas!! This shingle style New England home is perfect for a growing family.
That would be me, at home poolside in Florida!!!
Perhaps you’d like to meet my new North Carolina beach shack?
Or maybe you feel more at home in the South…
Another New England home, this one I’d rent and visit on the side 🙂
Dormers and a towerlet got me at hello. Never mind the inviting swimming pool…
My guest house.
My dream summer house in the Hamptons. Not too shabby…
If I’d live on a farm, this is how my home would look like!
…and this is where I’d move as an empty nester.
What about you?
